THC vapes and carts in Canada
A cannabis vape heats oil just enough to turn it into vapour, so there's no flame, no ash and no grinder involved. You'll usually come across two styles: cartridges that screw onto a separate battery, and all-in-one devices with the battery built in.
The oil inside is a concentrate, often distillate or live resin, so a single puff carries a lot more than a puff of flower. Check each product page to see what's inside.
How to use a vape
If you have a cartridge, make sure it fits your battery; most use a common thread size, but it's worth checking. Screw it on gently, without overtightening. If your battery has heat settings, start on the lowest one, since higher heat can taste burnt and clog the cart faster.
Take slow, gentle draws of a few seconds, then wait. Vapes are discreet and easy to use, which also makes it easy to have more than you meant to. Take one or two puffs and give it a few minutes before deciding on another.
Charge the battery fully before first use, and switch it off or lock it when it's in a bag so it doesn't fire by accident.
How to store a vape
Store carts and devices upright, at room temperature and out of direct sun. A hot car can thin the oil and cause leaks; a cold one can thicken it and make it hard to pull. If a cart feels clogged, a few seconds of warmth from your hand usually loosens it.
Keep vapes where kids and pets can't get to them. They're small, and easy to forget about in a jacket pocket. Every vape ships in a plain, smell-proof box.
Would you rather stick with flower and still skip the prep? Pre-rolls are the other no-fuss option.
Vape questions
Will a cartridge fit my battery?
Most cartridges use a common thread size, but check the product page and your battery to be sure before you buy.
Why does my vape taste burnt?
Usually the heat setting is too high or the cart is nearly empty. Drop to a lower setting and take gentler draws.
How should I store my vape?
Upright, at room temperature and out of direct sunlight. Avoid leaving it in a hot or freezing car.
